If you leave the width a blank, a default TEM cell dimension, which is the asymmetrical TEM cell in the paper of Yun, Lee, and Kim [1], will be used, and the higher order cutoff and resonant frequencies are calculated after selecting the Calculate button. The results listed in that paper are: (in MHz) TE01 fc01=83.16, fr011=111.39, fr012=169.96; TE10 fc10=134.4, fr101=163.49, fr102=226.07; TE11 fc11=177.15,fr111=199.99, fr112=256.60; TM11 fc11=245.9, fr111=245.90, fr112=245.35. The last one is not calculated in this calculator. Selecting the Another Calculation button will clear the dimension fields and the result fields, then you can fill in the dimension of a new TEM cell. Equations used to make these calculations can be found in the paper of Wilson and Ma [1], and are also provided at the bottom of this page.
